Eight Years In: SafeTrade 4.0 Is Live

SafeTrade 4.0 is live. Today we are launching the core of the new platform: a new trading interface, a new customer experience and major upgrades to everything behind the scenes. This is just the start. Over the coming days, we will be rolling out a steady stream of new features, starting with AMM pools.

Before you dive in, we want to take a quick look back at how we got here and say thanks to the people who made it possible.

Where it started

SafeTrade was first announced on Bitcointalk on April 2, 2018. From the beginning, the goal was to give innovative crypto projects a serious place to trade.

We opened in beta at the end of May 2018 and launched officially that June. Two-factor authentication was required on every account from day one. Trading was spot only, crypto in and crypto out, with no margin or futures.

Our community helped pick the first markets by voting on the coins they wanted to see, and new trading pairs started going live within days of the beta.

Eight years, four versions

Here's how SafeTrade has grown since that first announcement:

• April 2018: SafeTrade is announced on Bitcointalk
• May to June 2018: Beta launch, then the official release
• September 2018: A new interface and new listings, including ZClassic
• November 2023: SafeTrade 3.0 launches with a new interface, backend and trading engine
• October 2026: SafeTrade 4.0 goes live

Listing innovative, unique projects has always been part of who we are. SafeTrade was the first home for QUBIC, PEARL, QUANTUS, NOCK, NPT, XNT, TSC and many more. Today we list over 40 coins across more than 50 trading pairs.

What hasn't changed

Crypto looks very different than it did in 2018. A few things at SafeTrade haven't changed at all.

• Safety and security. It's the first thing we think about. Two-factor authentication has been required since 2018, and we keep raising the bar.
• Low fees. Trading shouldn't cost more than it needs to.
• Careful listings. Every project goes through due diligence before it reaches our markets.
• Great customer support. Our support team is easy to reach and quick to respond. When you need help, you talk to real people who get back to you fast.

Meet SafeTrade 4.0

Version 4 rebuilds SafeTrade from the trading screen down to the systems underneath it.

Here's what's new:

• New trading interface. A completely redesigned trading screen.
• New customer experience. Everything from signing in to managing your account has been redesigned.
• Major backend upgrades. The systems that run the exchange have been substantially upgraded.
• Improved security. Stronger protections for your account and your funds.
• AMMs (Coming Soon). Automated market makers are next on the roadmap.

Today's release covers the basics. Expect new features to land over the coming days, so check back often. Your account and balances carry over, so all you need to do is log in.
